CHARLES DELLSCHAU'S WORK WAS FASCINATING BECUASE IT WAS SO UNIQUE. IT CONSISTED OF A GLASS CASE WITH ABOUT 16 SQUARE PICTURES/COLLAGES WHICH EACH HAD A BORDER SO THAT IT ULTIMATELY RESEMBLED A PATCHWORK QUILT. EACH SQUARE HAD AN INTRICATE BORDER WITH USUALLY AN AIRSHIP OR SOME SORT OF FLYING MACHINE PASTED INTO THE MIDDLE OF IT. THE REST WAS HAND PAINTED WITH WHAT LOOKED LIKE A WATER COLOUR WASH OR THINNED OUT ACRYLIC PAINT.
DELLSCHAU WAS PART OF A SECRET GROUP OF MEN WHO WERE TRYING TO MAKE THE FIRST FLYING MACHINE. HIS WORKS ARE SUPPOSED TO SHOW HOW THE PLANS WERE BEING MADE AND IT IS THOUGHT THAT HE WAS THE DRAUGHTSMAN FOR THE GROUP..
